Beichuan Qiang Autonomous County, belonging to Mianyang City, Sichuan Province, is located in the northwest of Sichuan Basin, between latitude 31°33'17''~32°13'17''N and longitude 103°45'02''~104°43'12''E. It has a total area of 3,084 square kilometers. It is connected to Jiangyou City in the east, Anzhou District in the south, Mao County in the west, and Songpan and Pingwu Counties in the north, with a total area of 3,084 square kilometers. As of the end of 2022, Beichuan Qiang Autonomous County had a resident population of 178,900.
