Cangshan Town is located in the southernmost part of Zhongjiang County, covering an area of 147.14 square kilometers, with a household population of 96,226,000 (2020), jurisdiction over 30 villages and 3 community neighborhood committees. 75 kilometers from the county, enjoying the reputation of Zhongjiang South Gate, a thousand years old town, with a rich history and culture, significant traffic location, developed industries, in 2017, Cangshan Town was identified by the county party committee as the county's deputy center. Cangshan Town takes the contact of the main leaders of the municipal party committee and the county party committee as an opportunity to vigorously promote the construction of towns, industrial development, cultural excavation, economic and social development and radiation-driven ability to continue to improve.
Cangshan Town is in Chengdu one hour economic circle, reached the railroad, Chengnan high-speed, 106 ring road crossing, Luogui Road, Canghuai Road intersection here. On December 11, 2019, the People's Government of Sichuan Province on agreeing to the approval of Deyang City to adjust the administrative divisions of some townships in five counties (cities and districts), including Jingyang District (Sichuan Province Civil Affairs [2019] No. 15): revoke Yuanxing Township, and assign its administrative area to the jurisdiction of Cangshan Township, and the People's Government of Cangshan Township is stationed at No. 5 Xuefu Road.
