Zhongjiang County, belonging to Deyang City, Sichuan Province, is located in the northwest of Sichuan Basin, neighboring Santai County of Mianyang City in the east, Daying County of Suining City and Lezhi County of Ziyang City in the south, Jintang County and Guanghan City of Chengdu City in the west, and Luogang District of Deyang City and Fucheng District of Mianyang City in the north. The county covers an area of 2,200 square kilometers. As of the end of 2022, the county had a total population of 1.349 million. As of 2022, Zhongjiang County has 26 towns and 4 townships. Zhongjiang County is named after the ancient Zhongshui (now Luojiang). It is the hometown of Huang Jiguang, a national "Double Hundred Character" and a hero of special rank. In 2022, Zhongjiang County realized a gross domestic product (GDP) of 43.919 billion yuan, an increase of 3.3% over the previous year at comparable prices. Among them, the added value of primary industry is 10.023 billion yuan, an increase of 4.4%; the added value of secondary industry is 17.037 billion yuan, an increase of 3.3%; the added value of tertiary industry is 16.859 billion yuan, an increase of 2.7%.
