Mama Town, belonging to Dazhu County, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province, is located in the southern part of Dazhu County, east of Wenxing Town, south of the border of Taihe Township, neighboring water county of Guang'an City, west of Miaoba Township, north of Gao Cave Township, with an area of 68.8 square kilometers of administrative area. (Area and after merging) During the Qin Dynasty, it belonged to Tangqu County, Ba County; in June 2001, the township was changed to Mama Township.In 2019, the administrative area of Jinji Township was merged into Mama Township. As of the end of 2018, the former Mama Township had a household population of 14,929. As of June 2020, Mama Township has 2 communities and 9 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, with the township's people's government stationed at 26 Shrine Street.
