Wangjiang Road Street, belonging to Wuhou District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, is located in the eastern part of Wuhou District, east and north of the Jinjiang River, south of the South Railway Station Street, west of the parachute tower adjacent to the street. The total area is 3.2 square kilometers. In August 1953, it set up Peigen Road Street (i.e. Wangjiang Road Street).In 1978, it was changed to Wangjiang Road Street.In 1991, it was transferred to Wuhou District of Chengdu.At the end of 2011, the total population of Wangjiang Road Street area was 118,900 people. As of June 2020, Wangjiang Road Street has five communities under its jurisdiction, and the street office is located at No. 5 Guojiaqiao South Street, Chengdu. In 2011, the total financial revenue of Wangjiang Road Street amounted to RMB 620 million, an increase of 26% over the previous year. The local financial revenue of 160 million yuan, an increase of 31% over the previous year. In June 2021, the Party Working Committee of Wangjiang Road Street, Wuhou District, Chengdu, was awarded the title of "Chengdu Advanced Grassroots Party Organization".
