In ancient times, Ziliujing District belonged to the domain of Liangzhou in Yugong, and was under the jurisdiction of Shu County in Qin Dynasty and Jiangyang County in Gandan County in Han Dynasty. During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, it belonged to Fushun County. In 1939, the city was established for salt, and in 1953, it was named Ziliujing District. Ziliujing District is the center of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone and the center of five places in southern Sichuan, and is an important node of the "One Belt, One Road" and the southbound channel of Sichuan. In Ziliujing District, there are national cultural relics protection units of West Qin Hall and Huanhou Palace, and there is China's longest production time of natural gas wells-Xiaobiao Well. Flying Dragon Gorge Scenic Area is a national AAAA-level natural ecotourism scenic area and a national-level water conservancy scenic area and provincial-level forest park, with 20 square kilometers of natural ecotourism resources and a forest area of 3,200 hectares.
