Dashanpu Town, belonging to Daan District, Zigong City, Sichuan Province, is located in the eastern part of the city of Daan, southeast of Yaoba Township adjacent to the south with Heping Street, bordering the west with Longjing Street, northwest of Xinmin Township, Unity Township connected to the north with the Weiyuan County Jinghe Township neighboring the northeast of the town of Sandaoshai connected. It is 7.1 kilometers away from the district government. The total area of the administrative region is 31.25 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Dashanpu Town had a household population of 38,329. Originally belonged to Fushun County. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Dashan Mission.In November 1960, it was assigned to Daan District.In January 1984, the commune was changed to a township.In August 1994, the townships of Shengli and Aihe were merged to form the town of Dashanpu.In April 2001, Shengli Township was withdrawn and merged into the town of Dashanpu.
