Cuiping District, belongs to Yibin City, Sichuan Province. It is located in the southern part of the Sichuan Basin, north of the central part of Yibin City. It is the political, economic and cultural center of Yibin City, adjacent to Nanxi District in the east, Gao County and Changning County in the south, Xuzhou District in the west, and Fushun County in the north, with a total area of 1,259 square kilometers.In 2022, Cuiping District had a total household population of 879,200 people, and a resident population of 913,000 people. As of June 2023, Cuiping District has 8 streets and 12 towns under its jurisdiction.
In Qin Dynasty, Bo Dao County was established. In the Northern Song Dynasty, it was renamed Yibin County, and in 1951, Yibin County was analyzed to establish Yibin City in the Chengguan District and its suburbs, and in 1997, Yibin City was abolished at the county level and Cuiping District was established. Cuiping District is a pilot county of integrated reform for the construction of the twin-city economic circle in the Chengdu-Chongqing area, the hometown of Chinese early tea, the hometown of Chinese Brussels sprouts, the hometown of Chinese Nezha culture National Famous Historical and Cultural City, China's Outstanding Tourist City, the National Civilized City, the National Sanitary City, and the National Garden City.
In 2022, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Cuiping District will be 131.791 billion yuan, an increase of 7.6% over the previous year; of which the added value of the primary industry will be 5.012 billion yuan, the added value of the secondary industry will be 86.168 billion yuan; the added value of the tertiary industry will be 40.611 billion yuan, and the structure of the three industries will be adjusted to 3.8:65.4:30.8.
