Jingyan County, belonging to Leshan City, Sichuan Province, is located in the southwestern part of the Sichuan Basin, between longitude 102°55′~104°00′E and latitude 28°25′~29°55′N, with a total area of 840 square kilometers. Jingyan County belongs to the Central Subtropical Humid Climate Zone in the Sichuan Basin, with a warm and humid climate, the same seasonal rainfall, abundant rainfall but uneven distribution, no severe cold in winter, no scorching heat in summer, a slight lack of sunshine, distinct cold and hot seasons, and distinct dry and wet seasons. As of 2018, there are 27 townships under the jurisdiction of Jingyan County. According to the seventh census data, as of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, Jingyan County had a resident population of 280,641 people.
Jingyan County ancient Shu domain, Han set Wuyang County, Jingyan Town, Sui Kaihuang eleven years (591 years) to establish Longshan County, the abolition of Puting set Jingyan County. From the Sui Kaihuang eleven years (591 years) to build the county, through the Tang, Song to the early Yuan Dynasty of more than six hundred years, the county has expanded. The Lezhi Expressway and Renmuxin Expressway run through the whole area, and the G213 and G348 lines crisscross the county. Jingyan County is Asia's first large dinosaur excavation site, unearthed Jingyan Mamenshi dragon, now on display in the Beijing Museum of Nature, there are national cultural relics protection unit Sanjiang White Pagoda, Lei Chang's former residence scenic spot, Xiong Kewu's former residence, Dafo Lake, Matadu Pouring Stone Bridge, Zhu's festival of filial piety Square and other places of interest.
In 2020, Jingyan County will realize a current price GDP of 1,295,204,000 yuan, an increase of 3.8% over the previous year at comparable prices.
