Pingfeng Town, belonging to Xiji County, Guyuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, is located in the southwestern part of Xiji County, bordering Wangmin Township in the east, Sanhe Township, Huining County, Gansu Province in the south and southwest, adjoining Laojunpo Township, Huining County, Gansu Province in the west, and Xingping Township in the north, with an area of 192.72 square kilometers of administrative area. As of the end of 2020, the household population of Pingfeng Township was 23,985. In 1942, when Xiji County was established, it was carved out of Jingning County and the Pingfeng Township Office was set up. 2004 saw the abolition of Sanhe Township and Pingfeng Township, which merged to form Pingfeng Township.
