Dandong District, belonging to Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, is the central urban area of Shenyang City, located in the eastern part of the main city of Shenyang, neighboring with the development zone of Qipanshan in the east, surrounded by the Shenhe District in the southeast, south, and southwest, bordering with the Huanggu District in the west, and bordering with the Shenbei New District in the north. Dandong District covers an area of 101 square kilometers, under the jurisdiction of 10 streets, there are 122 communities.At the end of 2022, the registered population of Dandong District was 612,926. Dandong District is one of the old urban areas of Shenyang City, was first established in January of the twenty-seventh year of the Republic of China (1938), because it is located in the eastern part of the city, located in the east of the Dadongmen and named.
