Anmin Township, Dandong City, Liaoning Province, Zhenxing District under the jurisdiction of the town, is located in the southern part of Zhenxing District, east to Langtou Township, west to the Jianghai Street Office, the northern boundary of Tangchi Township, administrative area of 20.09 square kilometers. In August 1961, Anmin Commune, a suburb of Andong City, was established (transferred from Langtou Commune, a suburb of Andong City); in 1993, Anmin Township was withdrawn from the township and established as a township; in October 2008, Anmin Township was transferred from Zhenxing District to Dandong Border Economy Cooperation Zone.
