Shahekou District, part of Dalian City, Liaoning Province, is located in the central part of Dalian, with an area of 48.32 square kilometers. As of July 2023, Shahekou District has a resident population of 670,000 people. Shahekou District has a warm temperate monsoon climate. As of the end of 2022, Shahekou District has seven streets under its jurisdiction. The People's Government of the district is located in Xinghaiwan Street.
In 1899, Czarist Russia built a city in Qing Naiwa, then known as "Dalini", and set up three districts, namely Shijie, Huotan and Shahekou. 1980, it was renamed Shahekou District People's Government. Shahekou District, convenient transportation, the Hada Railway runs through the jurisdiction of the territory, and has a Shahekou Railway Station. It is 4 kilometers east to Dalian Port and 3 kilometers north to Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport.2021 July 15, Shahekou District was selected by the Ministry of Water Resources as one of the fourth batch of counties (districts) that have reached the standard of water-saving social construction. The main attractions include Xinghai Square, Heishi Reef Park and Dalian Nature Museum.
In 2022, Shahekou District completed a gross regional product of 57.03 billion yuan.
