NANFEN DISTRICT is a part of Benxi City, Liaoning Province, located 25 kilometers south of the downtown area of Benxi City, bordering with Benxi County in the southeast, Liaoyang City in the west, and adjoining Pingshan and Mingshan districts of Benxi City in the north. The area of the district is 619 square kilometers, and according to the seventh population census, as of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, the resident population of Nanfen District was 55,560 people. As of 2020, Nanfen District has three streets under its jurisdiction: Nanfen Street, Sishanling Street, and Xiamatang Street. The seat of the district government is Nanfen Street.
In 2020, Nanfen District's annual gross regional product finished at 2.36 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.9%.
On June 4, 2021, Nanfen District was included in the 2021 list of pilot counties for the construction of water system connection and water-beautiful countryside.
