Changwu County, belonging to Fuxin City, Liaoning Province, is located in the northwestern part of Liaoning Province, at the southern edge of the Horqin Sandy Land, with a maple-leaf shape in the whole territory, and a total land area of 3,641 square kilometers in the county. Changwu County has a temperate monsoon continental climate combining temperate monsoon climate and temperate continental climate, characterized by obvious changes in the four seasons throughout the year, rain and heat in the same season, and plenty of light. According to the seventh national census, as of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, Changwu County had a resident population of 333,643 people.
In 1902, the Qing Guangxu twenty-eighth year (1902), set up in the county, and because it is located in the wicker side of the door Zhangwutai side of the door, so called Changwu County. 1959 January, Jinzhou Prefecture abolished, the implementation of the system of municipal leadership of the county, Changwu County began to Fuxin City, under the leadership of the county. Changwu County, the territory of the Dazheng Railway through the city, there is a national highway Danhuo Highway (G304) running north and south, Beijing-Shenyang Highway (G101) across the east and west; provincial highway Kangchang Highway (S303), Kuji Highway communication in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Jilin Province and Liaoning Province. There are eight major attractions in Zhangwu County: Zhanggutai National Sand Forest Park, Daqinggou, the world's strange ditch, the cliff statues and Bible Temple of Thousand Buddha Mountain, the holy site of Eastern Tibetan Buddhism, Naimuslai Scenic Area, Jurong Lake Scenic Area, Haunted Sea Reservoir, Xinglong Mountain Reservoir, and Gaoshantai Provincial Forest Park.On October 22, 2018, it was selected as the list of the 2018 National Pilot Zone Creation List of Integrated Development of Rural One, Two, and Three Industries. In July 2020, the National Sanitation Association recognized Changwu County as the 2019 National Sanitation County City.
In 2020, Changwu County's gross domestic product (GDP) was 11.43 billion yuan, an increase of 3.0% over the previous year. Among them, the added value of primary industry is 5.21 billion yuan, an increase of 4.0% over last year, the added value of secondary industry is 2.09 billion yuan, an increase of 6.7% over last year, and the added value of tertiary industry is 4.13 billion yuan, an increase of 0.1% over last year. The ratio of primary, secondary and tertiary industries is 45.5:18.3:36.2.
