Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County, Dandong City, Liaoning Province, autonomous county, is located in the southeast of Liaoning Province, northeast of Dandong City, is located in Liaodong mountainous and hilly area, belongs to the continental monsoon climate of the warm-temperate humid zone, adjacent to five counties, districts (cities), with a total area of 6106.69 square kilometers, the border line is 216.5 kilometers long. As of June 2023, Kandian Manchu Autonomous County has 19 towns and 3 townships under its jurisdiction. As of the end of 2022, Kuan Dian Manchu Autonomous County had a household population of 402,812 and a resident population of 317,000 people.
The name Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County originates from Kuandianzi, which is named after the flat terrain and fertile soil, which is suitable for farming and hunting, and also because of the large number of Manchus in the area. In the second year of Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1876), "Kuandian" County was set up; in 1949, it belonged to the county under the jurisdiction of Liaodong Province; in 1954, it belonged to the jurisdiction of Liaoning Province; on September 7, 1989, approved by the State Council, Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County was established. The main attractions of Kandian Manchu Autonomous County include Qingshanggou, Hushan Great Wall, Tianqiaogou National Forest Park, etc. On July 15, 2021, Kandian Manchu Autonomous County was selected to be on the list of "the fourth batch of counties (districts) that have reached the standard of water-saving society construction". on January 26, 2022, Kandian Manchu Autonomous County was selected to be on the list of " Advanced Village Cleaning Action in 2021". 2021 National Advanced Counties for Village Cleaning Action".
In 2022, Kuan Dian Manchu Autonomous County realized a gross domestic product (GDP) of 10.89 billion yuan, up 0.3 year-on-year; the ratio of added value of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries was 29.7:24.2:46.1; the full-caliber fiscal revenue was 1.13 billion yuan, down 36.7% year-on-year; investment in fixed assets was up 22.7% year-on-year; and the per capita disposable income of rural residents was 19,479 yuan with a year-on-year increase of 3.6%.
