Haicheng City, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Liaoning Province, administered by Anshan City, is located in the south-central part of Liaoning Province and the central part of Anshan City, on the left bank of the lower reaches of the Liaohe River and the northern tip of the Liaodong Peninsula, with a warm-temperate monsoon climate, adjoining nine districts and counties (municipalities), and covering a total area of 2,732 square kilometers.
