The Anshan Economic Development Zone is located in the western part of Anshan’s urban area. Covering an area of 105 square kilometers, it encompasses the Dadaowan Industrial Zone, Dadaowan Town, Ningyuan Town, the Ningyuan Industrial Zone, and the main plant area of Ansteel. The zone is home to more than 4,200 industrial and commercial enterprises, including 790 enterprises above designated size. The industrial value-added of enterprises above designated size reached 33.9 billion yuan, accounting for one-third of the city’s total industrial output.
The Anshan Economic Development Zone is divided into three functional zones: the Commerce and Logistics Park in the south, the Chemical Industry Zone in the north, and the Equipment Manufacturing and Steel Deep Processing Industrial Zone in the center.The zone has established four leading industries: special steel production and deep processing, new chemical materials, optoelectronics, and modern services. It is focusing on cultivating and developing 12 industrial clusters, including iron and steel metallurgy, metallurgical mining equipment, steel logistics, steel structure processing, stainless steel products, petrochemicals, coal chemicals, optoelectronics, automotive modification, standard parts and fasteners, electrical and automation equipment, and commerce and logistics.
