Xunyang District, belonging to Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, is located on the south bank of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, surrounded by Lianxi District to the east and south, adjoining Jiujiang Economic and Technological Development Zone to the west, and the Yangtze River to the north. As of October 2022, the jurisdiction of Xunyang District covers an area of 26 square kilometers, with eight streets under its jurisdiction.At the end of 2020, the resident population of Xunyang District was 433,100 people. Xunyang District is the seat of the CPC Jiujiang Municipal Committee and Municipal Government, historically known as Chaisang and Jiangzhou. Xunyang District terrain is low and flat with many lakes, and the southeast sector has a hill. Lakes are Gantang Lake, Nanmen Lake and so on. Yangtze River is 28.5 kilometers long along the border, the port of Jiujiang up to Sichuan and Hubei, down to Suzhou and Shanghai, river routes can reach the counties along the river, the city and the Poyang Lake area, Jiujiang Yangtze River Bridge connected to the Beijing-Kowloon Railway. Highway has nine lakes, QiuJiu, nine boundary, ten lotus and other trunk lines, highway directly to Nanchang. In 2021, Xunyang District completed the gross regional product of 39.874 billion yuan, an increase of 8.3%.
