Hukou County, belonging to Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province. Located in the north of Jiangxi Province, east of Pengze County, south of Duchang County, west of Lushan City, Lianxi District Boundary Lake adjacent to the north and Anhui Su Song County across the river. With a total area of 673 square kilometers, in 2022, Hukou County had a household population of 286,700 and a resident population of 220,600. As of June 2023, Hukou County has 7 towns and 5 townships under its jurisdiction.
Hukou is named after the outlet of the water system of Poyang Lake. In the Southern Tang Dynasty, Hukou County was established by analyzing Pengze County.
