Yudu County, belongs to Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province. It is located in the south of Jiangxi Province, the east of Ganzhou City and the middle reaches of Gongshui River. It is adjacent to Ruijin City and Huichang County in the east, and Huichang County and Anyuan County in the south. It is connected to Ganxian District in the west and Xingguo County and Ningdu County in the north, with a total area of 2,893 square kilometers.In 2021, the total household population of Yudu County was 1,117,700 people. As of October 2021, Yudu County has 9 towns and 14 townships under its jurisdiction. The county government is located at 566 Dujiang Avenue in Gongjiang Town.
In Han Dynasty, Yudu County was established, with Summer Mountain to the north. Wu, analyzed the white deer camp in the northeast of Yudu County, set up Yangdu County (now Ningdu). Liang, analyzed the south township of Yudu to set up Anyuan County. Southern Tang Dynasty, Yudu Ruijin Supervision was upgraded to Ruijin County. Analysis of Pious Hua of Shicheng field set up Shicheng County. Song, analyzed Yudu Jiuzhou township, set up Huichang County. Ming, analysis of Anyuan Shuangqiao, Shixi and other forts set Changning County (now Xunwu). 1999, the establishment of Ganzhou City, Yudu County belongs to it. On April 26, 2020, Yudu County withdrew from the sequence of poverty-stricken counties.
Yudu County is the seat of the Gannan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Gannan Provincial Soviet Government during the period of the Central Soviet Zone, and is the starting point of the gathering of the Central Red Army for the Long March, the last base in the Central Soviet Zone, the origin of the Three-Year Guerrilla War in the South, the birthplace of the Long March Spirit, one of the all-red counties in the Central Soviet Zone, and one of the places where the Spirit of the Soviet Zone was formed, and the birthplace of 16 Republican generals.
