Nantong, abbreviated as "Tong", anciently known as Tongzhou, also known as Jinghai, Chongzhou and Zilang, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province, the central city of the Yangtze River Delta, a second-tier city, the economic center of China's Yangtze River Delta and a modern port city.
