Gaoyou City, county-level city under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province, administered by Yangzhou City. It is located in the center of Jiangsu Province and the west edge of Lixia River. It is adjacent to Xinghua City in the east, Jiangdu District, Ganjiang District and Yizheng City in the south, Tianchang City and Jinhu County in the west, and Baoying County in the north, with a total area of 1,963 square kilometers.In 2021, Gaoyou had a total household population of 796,400 people, and a resident population of 709,600 people. It is a World Heritage City, National Famous Historical and Cultural City, National Civilized City, National Sanitary City, National Demonstration Area for the Creation of National Unity and Progress, with one World Heritage Site, two 4A-level scenic spots, six 3A-level scenic spots, and six national key cultural relics protection units. In 2022, Gaoyou City realizes a GDP of 101.481 billion yuan, with a growth of 4.8% at comparable prices, a per capita GDP of 142,630 yuan (21,205 U.S. dollars), and the structure of the three industries is adjusted from 10:50.4:39.6 of the previous year to 9.5:50.2:40.3.
