In May 2025, the provincial government approved its designation as a provincial-level high-tech industrial development zone, implementing an “integrated zone-town” management model with Songqiao Town. It is home to more than 1,000 industrial enterprises, including 181 enterprises above designated size and 38 enterprises with annual revenue exceeding 100 million yuan.The zone has preliminarily established an industrial structure centered on smart lighting as the leading industry, supported by two emerging industries—automotive parts and new energy—and several future-oriented industries such as general aviation and new materials. In 2024, the smart lighting industry was designated a “National-Level Specialized Industrial Cluster for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises.”
