Suining County, belonging to Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province, is located in the northwest of Jiangsu Province and the southeast of Xuzhou City. It is located in the northwestern part of Jiangsu Province and the southeastern part of Xuzhou City, and is an important wing in the "one city, two wings" of Xuzhou. The northwestern and eastern parts of Suining County are bordered by Tongshan District of Xuzhou City and Suqian City and Suyu District respectively, the northern part is adjacent to Pizhou City, and the southern and western parts are connected with Siachen County and Lingbi County of Anhui Province respectively. Suining County has two provincial-level development zones: Jiangsu Suining Economic Development Zone and Xuzhou Airport Economic Development Zone; and four major industrial parks: Ningjiang Industrial Park, Bali Metal and Electromechanical Industrial Park, Modern Agricultural Demonstration Zone and Tao Lan Chemical Park. The area is 1,769 square kilometers, and according to the data of the seventh population census, as of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, the resident population of Suining County is 1,088,553 people. Suining County is named after the water system Suishui, which means "peace and quiet in Suishui". There are tourist attractions such as Suiyue Zen Temple, Baitang River Wetland Park, Fangwan Wetland Park, Suining Park and Dead Mountain Scenic Area. Xuzhou Guanyin International Airport is located in Guanyin Town of Suining County, and Xuyan High-speed Railway passes through Suining and has two high-speed railway stations: Suining Station and Guanyin Airport Station, which will bring Suining County into the high-speed railway era.In 2021, Suining County ranked the 70th among the top 100 counties and cities with investment potential in the country and the 82nd among the top 100 counties and cities in the country in terms of scientific and technological innovation.In January 22, 2020, Suining County was named as the National Garden County by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. In 2021 and 2022, Suining County will be selected as one of the top 100 counties in China in terms of high-quality development of county economy for two consecutive years, and in 2022, Suining County will be ranked 42nd among the top 100 counties in China in terms of "digital countryside". In 2021, Suining County's GDP will reach 68 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 3%, and its general public budget revenue will reach 4.269 billion yuan, both of which are among the top 100 counties in China. The taxable sales revenue of industry reached 42.59 billion yuan, with a total of 238 new industrial enterprises; the total retail sales of consumer goods amounted to 53.38 billion yuan, ranking first in the city, and the e-commerce turnover amounted to 46 billion yuan, with a five-year growth rate of 199%; and five towns were ranked among the top 1,000 towns in China for three consecutive years.
