Introduction to the Xuzhou Airport Economic Development Zone The Xuzhou Airport Economic Development Zone (Shuangguo Town) is located southeast of downtown Xuzhou and northwest of Suining County. It serves as the western gateway connecting Suining County to downtown Xuzhou and is the only airport economic development zone at the junction of Jiangsu, Shandong, Henan, and Anhui provinces. In September 2018, it was officially approved by the provincial government as a provincial-level economic development zone.The Xuzhou Airport Economic Development Zone covers a planned area of 90 square kilometers, comprising a 30-square-kilometer comprehensive residential zone in the south, a 30-square-kilometer industrial park in the center, and a 30-square-kilometer health, wellness, and cultural tourism demonstration zone in the north. Xuzhou Guanyin Airport is the largest, most advanced, and highest-grade international airport in the Huaihai Economic Zone, functioning as a regional hub for air passenger and cargo transportation. The Xuzhou Airport Economic Development Zone focuses on three leading industries: aviation and aerospace materials, intelligent manufacturing, and new energy and new materials.
