Dongxing Township, belonging to Lindian County, Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the northeastern part of Lindian County, bordering Yilong Township of Yi'an County in the east, connecting with Sijiqing Township in the south, neighboring Hongwei Township in the west, and bordering with Sihuo Township in the north, with an area of 456.6 square kilometers and a household population of 24,695 in 2018.
At the end of the Qing Dynasty, the name Panjiawei Zi. In the thirty-sixth year of the Republic of China (June 1947), the name was changed to the seventh district.In 1967, the name was changed to Dongfanghong Commune.In 1981, the name was changed to Dongxing Commune.In 1983, the commune was changed to a township. As of October 2019, Dongxing Township is under the jurisdiction of 10 administrative villages and 1 former seed farm living area.
