Mapu Town, belonging to Luyi County, Zhoukou City, Henan Province, is located in the northern part of Luyi County, adjacent to Niuzhi Town of Qiaocheng District, Bozhou City, Anhui Province, in the east and southeast, adjacent to Huibei Town in the south, adjacent to Jiatan Town in the southwest, connecting Qiutai Town of Zhecheng County, Shangqiu City, in the west and northwest, and Suoyang District, Shangqiu City, in the north, adjacent to Songhe Town, in the northeast and Niuzhi Town of Qiaocheng District, Bozhou City, Anhui Province, and is 17 kilometers away from Luyi County, with a total regional area of 63.28 square kilometers. During the Spring and Autumn Period, the territory of the present Ma Pu Town was Zi Mu County; in March 1990, it was changed from Ma Pu Township to Ma Pu Town. As of the end of 2019, the registered population of Mapu Township was 58,341.
