Yuling Town belongs to Lingbao City, Sanmenxia City, Henan Province, which is located in the inter-provincial fringe zone at the junction of Henan, Qin and Jin provinces. It has a warm temperate continental monsoon arid climate with four distinct seasons. There are 31 kinds of non-ferrous metals, such as gold, silver, copper, lead and iron, etc., and there are tourist attractions such as Yawu Mountain and Yang Gong Ancestral Hall.
The town has a land area of 182.15 square kilometers (2017). Yuling town has 22 administrative villages and 248 villager groups. The resident population of the town is 60,135 (2017).
In 2013, the town completed fixed asset investment of 3.98 billion yuan, realized gross regional product of 5.39 billion yuan, and completed financial income of 55.17 million yuan.
In 2013, Yuling Township was awarded "Provincial Health Township", "Citywide Target Assessment Meritorious Unit", "Advanced Unit of Walnut Science and Technology Demonstration Park Construction", "Advanced Unit of Safety Creation" and other honorary titles.
In July 2020, the National Sanitation Association recognized Yuling Township as the 2019 National Sanitation Township.
