Temple River Township, belonging to Sanmenxia City, Henan Province, Lingbao City, is located in the southeastern part of Lingbao City, bordering with Shanxian County and Luoyang City Luoning County, adjoining Lushi County in the south, neighboring with Sucun Township in the west and Chuankou Forestry in the north, with an area of 154.71 square kilometers of administrative area.
In the third year of the Republic of China (1914), it belonged to the fifth district of Lingbao County, and the district government was located in Guozhen; in January 1984, the commune was changed to Temple River Township; in October 2005, the People's Government of Henan Province approved the merger of Dongcun Township into Temple River Township. As of the end of 2018, the household population of Temple River Township was 7,013. As of June 2020, Temple River Township has 16 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township people's government is located in Temple River Village.
In 2011, Temple River Township completed a total financial income of 1.21 million yuan, an increase of 14% over the previous year, of which 1.21 million yuan was local financial income, and 171 yuan was per capita financial income, an increase of 14% over the previous year.
