Floodway Township, belonging to Luanping County, Chengde City, Hebei Province, is located in the south of Luanping County, bordering Chengde County to the east and northeast, Miyun, Beijing to the south and southwest, Bakshiying Township to the west, and Liangmafang Township to the northwest and north, with an area of 92.25 square kilometers, and a household population of 7,130 as of 2018.
In 1956, it belonged to Chengde County.In June 1958, the villages of Floodway, Sanchokou, and Dagudao were assigned to Luanping County and belonged to the Changcheng Commune.In 1961, Floodway Commune was analyzed and established.In 1983, the commune was abolished and the township of Floodway was reconstructed. As of June 2020, there are 5 administrative villages under the jurisdiction of Floodway Township.
