Shunping County, belonging to Baoding City, Hebei Province, is located in the western part of Hebei Province and the western suburb of Baoding City, on the connecting line between the Taihang Mountains and the North China Plain, with a sequential arrangement of hills, mountains, and plains from northwest to southeast, covering a total area of 714 square kilometers, and with the county government stationed at No. 3, Ping'an Street, Puyang Town. As of the end of 2022, Shunping County has 7 towns and 3 townships under its jurisdiction, with a resident population of 262,900. It has a warm temperate monsoon continental climate, with an average annual temperature of 12.7℃ and an average annual precipitation of 511.7mm.
In the fifth year (5) of Emperor Pingdi Yuanshi of the Western Han Dynasty, Wang Mang changed the name of Qubi to Shunping County. in August 1993, approved by the State Council, the county of Finish was renamed Shunping County. Beijing-Kunming Expressway, Cangyu Expressway and National Highway 107 pass through the county. The scenic spots include Longtan Lake Scenic Spot, the ruins of Yao Di Temple in Yiqishan (Taizian), and the ruins of General Hua Mulan Temple.
In 2023, the GDP of Shunping County realized 10.06 billion yuan, an increase of 7.2% year-on-year. Among them, the added value of primary industry was 3.92 billion yuan, up 15.3%; the added value of secondary industry was 2.04 billion yuan, up 4.3%; and the added value of tertiary industry was 4.1 billion yuan, up 2.6%.
