Zunyi City, abbreviated as "Zun", anciently known as Baozhou, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Guizhou Province. It is the vice-center city of Guizhou Province, an emerging industrial city and an important production base of agricultural products in Guizhou Province, the political, economic and cultural center of northern Guizhou, an important city in Qianzhong urban agglomeration, and a third-tier city. As of 2022, the city has 3 districts, 7 counties, 2 autonomous counties, and 2 county-level cities under its jurisdiction, with a total area of 30,762 square kilometers, a household population of 8,263,600, and a resident population of 6,596,500.
Zunyi City is located in southwest China, northern Guizhou Province, south of Guiyang City, north of Chongqing Municipality, west of Sichuan Province, is the Southwest to undertake the north and south, connecting the east and west, access to the river and the sea is an important transportation hub, Chengdu-Chongqing-Guizhou-Zhongzhou Economic Zone corridor of the core area and the main corridor, the bridgehead of cooperation between Guizhou and Chongqing, the main position and the pioneer area. Zunyi is one of the first national historical and cultural cities. Zunyi is home to the World Cultural Heritage site of Hailongtun, the World Natural Heritage site of Chishui Danxia, the Hometown of Longevity in China, the High Quality Green Tea Producing Region in China, the Hometown of Famous Tea in China, the National Regional Tourism Demonstration Area, and the Hometown of Guitar Manufacturing in China.
In 2022, Zunyi's gross regional product will be 440.126 billion yuan, an increase of 3.1% year-on-year.
