Broadcasting District, belonging to Zunyi City, Guizhou Province, is located in the northern part of Guizhou Province, between the middle part of the eastern branch of the Dalou Mountains and the northern bank of the middle part of the Wujiang River, which was praised by General Secretary Xi Jinping as a "place where nostalgia is found". Between longitude 106°17′22″-107°26′25″, latitude 27°13′15″-28°04′09″, east of Meitan County, urnan county, south of xifeng county, kaiyang county, west of renhuai city, jinsha county, north of honghuagang district, huichuan district. It belongs to the middle subtropical monsoon humid climate zone, with an altitude between 850-1100 meters, and an annual average temperature of 15.3℃; with a total area of 2490.94 square kilometers, in 2022, the household population of Baozhou District was 889,760, and as of June 2023, Baozhou District governed 5 streets, 17 towns, and 2 nationalities townships, with the district people's government stationed at Nanbai Street The district people's government is located at No. 53, West Main Street.
The district has a long history. In the thirteenth year of the Tang Zhenguan reign (639), it was first established as the Broadcasting Prefecture. Broadcasting State existed until the twenty-eighth year of the Ming Wanli (1600), which lasted 961 years, and in the sixteenth year of the Tang Zhenguan (642), Luomeng County was changed to Zunyi County, and on March 20, 2016, Zunyi County was abolished, and Zunyi City, Broadcasting State District was set up. In the 24th year of the Republic of China (1935), the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army on the Long March traveled three times into and three times out of the territory, and held the famous Gouba Conference. Has been named "China's hometown of Duzong", "China's pepper capital", the second batch of national ecological civilization construction demonstration cities and counties, is the Southwest energy and Guizhou, "West-East Power Transmission" an important base. It is the core area of Qianzhong Economic Zone and Qianbei Economic Cooperation Zone, the strategic hinterland of Guizhou's "Golden Triangle", and an important node for the comprehensive development of the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River and Chongqing-Guizhou economic cooperation. The Lanhai Expressway, Zunzhi Expressway, Hangrui Expressway, 210 National Highway, 326 National Highway, Sichuan-Guizhou Railway and Yugui Railway pass through the area, and the Wujiang River Navigation Channel directly reaches the Yangtze River.
In 2022, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Baozhou District will be 38.035 billion yuan, an increase of 0.8%. Per capita GDP reaches 50,016 yuan, up 3.4%.
