Xiawan Town, belonging to Guigang City, Guigang City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the south of Guiping City, neighboring Shebu Town and Makuang Town in the east, connected to Mugen Town and Dayang Town in the south, bordering Baisha Town in the west, and bordering the Yujiang River and Mengwei Town in the north, with an administrative area of 152.2 square kilometers. As of November 1, 2020, the resident population of Xiawan Town was 81,750 people.
During the Tang Dynasty, it was located in Changlin County, Xiushu Prefecture, and in 1984, it was called Xiawan Township, and in 1991, it was renamed Xiawan Township. As of October 2021, Xiawan Township has 1 community and 14 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, with the township's people's government stationed at 39 Dongsheng Street in Xiawanxu.
