Cenxi City, anciently known as Yizhou, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, administered by Wuzhou City, is located in the southeastern part of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, at the junction of the two provinces, with a high topography in the southeast and a low topography in the northwest, belonging to a typical subtropical monsoon climate zone, with a total area of 2,783 square kilometers. As of March 2023, the city has 14 towns under its jurisdiction. As of the end of 2022, Cenxi City had a resident population of 726,800. In the second year of Tang Zhide (757), Anyi County was changed to Yongye County, and Longcheng County was changed to Cenxi County, which was the beginning of the name of Cenxi County.
