Xingning District is a municipal district under the jurisdiction of Nanning City, the capital of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and is one of the main urban areas of Nanning, which starts from Nationality Avenue in the south to border with Qingxiu District, southwest of Yongjiang River to border with Jiangnan District, west of Jiefang Road, Huaqiang Road and along the railroad to border with Xixiangtang District, north of the Guangxi Forestry Academy of Sciences, Guangxi Summit Forestry and Wuming District, and northeast of Kunlun Pass to border with Binyang County. Xingning District is located in the center of Nanning City, extending to the northeast is one of the oldest urban areas in Nanning City, and is also the city's central business district, with an area of 723 square kilometers. According to the seventh census data, as of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, the resident population of Xingning District was 615,485 people. In 2020, the fiscal revenue of Xingning District completed 4.754 billion yuan; the gross output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery completed 2.413 billion yuan, an increase of 8.2% year-on-year; the gross output value of industry above designated size increased by 2.3% year-on-year; the investment in fixed assets decreased by 4% year-on-year; the total retail sales of consumer goods completed 48.672 billion yuan; the disposable income per capita of urban residents was 41,940 yuan, and that of rural residents was 17,280 yuan. In October 2018, it was selected as one of the "2018 Top 100 National Investment Potential Districts".
