Guanting Township, belonging to Gansu Province Longnan City, Tanchang County, is located in the south of Tanchang County, east and Zhuyuan Township and Lion Township connected to the south and the two Hekou Township, west and Zhouqu County, Dongshan Township border, the north and Ganjiang head of the township adjacent to the Tanchang County 35 kilometers away from Tanchang County, a total area of 116.62 square kilometers.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Guanting Township was set up, belonging to Xigu County; in 1987, Guanting Township was changed to Guanting Township. As of the end of 2018, the household population of Guanting Town was 10,366. As of June 2020, Guanting Town has 19 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town's people's government resides in Guanting Village.
The agricultural structure of Guanting Town is based on grain cultivation, and the economic income is based on peppercorns and medicinal herbs; the main economic crops are medicinal herbs and oil crops, etc. In 2011, Guanting Town completed a total industrial output value of 27 million yuan.
