Chengguan District, belonging to Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, is located in the east-central part of Gansu Province, between longitude 103°46′-103°59′E and latitude 35°58′-36°9′N, with an east-west length of 20.02 kilometers, a north-south width of 22.6 kilometers, and a total area of 207.83 square kilometers. As of June 2023, Chengguan District has 25 streets under its jurisdiction, as well as one high-tech zone, one agricultural reclamation group, and one prison enterprise group. As of the end of 2022, Chengguan District had a resident population of 1,521,000 people.
Chengguan District is the center of Lanzhou City, the capital of Gansu Province, the residence of party, government and military organs of Gansu Province, and the political, economic, scientific and technological and cultural center of the province. The geomorphology is characterized by two mountains in the north and south, with the Yellow River flowing through them. The Yellow River from the Leitan River into the Yellow River mouth entry, Gaolan Mountain, White Pagoda Mountain across the river north and south. Chengguan District is a semi-temperate arid region, the average altitude of 1520 meters, the highest peak for the southeast of Gaolan Mountain Yingpanling, 2171 meters above sea level, the lowest for the north face of Yan Tan Beach, 1503 meters above sea level. The average annual temperature is 10.6 degrees.
In 2022, Chengguan District realized a gross regional product of 113.106 billion yuan, of which the added value of the primary industry was 0.057 billion yuan, the added value of the secondary industry was 15.607 billion yuan, and the added value of the tertiary industry was 97.442 billion yuan. The structure ratio of the three industries is 0.05:13.8:86.15. The per capita GDP is 75,755 yuan based on the resident population.
