Jinchang, also known as Nickel City, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Gansu Province. As of the end of 2022, it has 1 district and 1 county under its jurisdiction, with a total area of 9,600 square kilometers and a resident population of 434,400.
Jinchang City is located in northwestern China, Gansu Province, the middle part of the Hexi Corridor, the northern foot of the Qilian Mountains, the terrain is high in the south and low in the north, belonging to the continental temperate arid climate.
