Yangxi County, belongs to Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province. It is located in the southwest of Guangdong Province, west of Yangjiang City. It has a total area of 1,435 square kilometers.In 2021, Yangxi County had a total household population of 557,900, a resident population of 436,600, and 23 ethnic minorities. As of June 2020, Yangxi County has eight towns under its jurisdiction, and the county government is located on Square Road in the town of Orchid Hat. Yangxi County, named after its location to the west of the Moyang River basin, was divided into Yangxi County, Jiangcheng District, and Yangdong District in 1988 when Yangjiang County was abolished and established as a city.
