Dacheng Town, belonging to Raoping County, Chaozhou City, Guangdong Province, is located in the southeastern part of Raoping County, bordering Zhao'an County of Fujian Province to the east and northeast, Dacheng Bay of the South China Sea and Nan'ao County across the sea to the south, and adjoining with the town of Soshu to the west. The people's government of the town is 20 kilometers away from the county town. The administrative area covers a total area of 31.75 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Dacheng Town had a household population of 34,696.
During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it belonged to Rao Ping Yihua Du Dacheng Jie. In 1948, it belonged to Dongjie District, and in November 1986, it was separated from Dongjie District to establish Dacheng Town. As of June 2020, Dacheng Town has 7 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town's people's government is located at No. 3 Hongcheng Avenue.
