Gulangyu Street, belonging to Siming District, Xiamen City, Fujian Province, is located in the southwestern part of Siming District, east and Zhonghua Street across the Lujia River, southeast, south and southwest of Qingyu Island, Zhangzhou City, Longhai District across the sea, west, northwest and north of Haicang District across the sea, northeast of the street with the Lujiang across the Lujia River, with a total area of 1.91 square kilometers. As of the end of 2020, the household population of Gulangyu Street was 12,719. Republic of China thirty-four years (1945) in August, set up Gulangyu District. 1955 March, the establishment of Longtou, Lujiao, Neicuoao 3 streets. 1958 end, 3 streets and Gulangyu Commune. 1978 November, Gulangyu Commune is divided into the Longtou, Neicuo 2 streets. 1984 April, the withdrawal of the Longtou, Neicuo 2 streets, the neighborhood committees under the direct district government. 2003 April 26 , approved by the State Council, the abolition of Gulangyu District, merged into Siming District, the establishment of Gulangyu Street.
