Daming Township, belonging to Dehua County, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, is located in the northwestern part of Dehua County, west of Jiuxian Mountain, northeast of Shishiqi. It is adjacent to Chishui Township and Shangchong Township in the east, Meihu Township in the south, Chunmei Township in the west, and Tangtou Township in the north, with an administrative area of 76.4 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, the registered population of Daming Township is 6,200.
From Song to Ming, it belonged to Tangquan Shangguan of Jincheng Township, Dehua County.In October 1984, Daming Commune was changed to Daming Township. As of June 2020, Daming Township has 7 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township people's government is based in Daming Village.
