Yuecheng District, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province, jurisdiction, is located in Hangzhou Bay, the southern wing of the Jin, Ning Shao Plain west, the northern foot of the Huiji Mountain, Shaoxing City, is the political and cultural center of the Municipal Party Committee and municipal government seat. A total area of 538.6 square kilometers, east of the border with Shangyu District, west, south and north of the border with Keqiao District. As of 2023, it has 16 streets and 1 town under its jurisdiction. The district people's government is located at No. 18 Yan'an Road. As of the end of 2023, Yuecheng District had a resident population of 1.115 million.
It was named after King Goujian of Yue, who moved the capital to build a city here in 490 BC. The Qin Dynasty set Huiji County, the Tang Dynasty set Yuezhou, once became the temporary capital of the Southern Song Dynasty and the end of the Ming Dynasty Lu Wang supervision of the country, is the earliest birthplace of the Chinese nation and the first Yue culture of the most developed areas -, has a long history and rich historical and cultural resources. 1949 May Shaoxing liberation, set up the Shaoxing City (county-level city), and then set up Shaoxing County, Shaoxing District, Shaoxing County, Shaoxing District Administrative Office seat. 1983, the Shaoxing District Administrative Office. In 2023, the annual GDP of Yuecheng District will be RMB 133 billion; the value added of regulated industry will be RMB 42.8 billion; the total financial revenue will be RMB 14.57 billion; the general public budget revenue will be RMB 9.02 billion; the per capita disposable income of urban and rural residents will be RMB 74,596 and RMB 48,866 respectively, with year-on-year growth of 5.8% and 7.3%.
