The Hangzhou Bay Shangyu Economic and Technological Development Zone was established in 1998 and was upgraded to a national-level economic and technological development zone in 2013 with the approval of the State Council. The development zone is located in the northern part of Shangyu District, Shaoxing City, on the southern shore of Hangzhou Bay, with a planned management area of approximately 133.9 square kilometers.The development zone is an integral part of Zhejiang Province’s Hangzhou Bay Industrial Belt. It has been awarded titles such as “National Ecological Industrial Demonstration Zone” and “Zhejiang Provincial High-Tech Industrial Base for New Materials,” and is committed to building a new industrial platform with a scale of “10,000 mu and 100 billion yuan.”
