Zhenhai District, a district of Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, is located in the northeastern part of the city of Ningbo, on the southern flank of the Yangtze River Delta, with geographic coordinates between latitude 29°53'~30°06'N and longitude 121°27'~121°46'E. It belongs to the subtropical monsoon climate zone, with a mild and humid climate and distinct seasons, and has a land area of 246 square kilometers. As of the end of 2022, Zhenhai District had a household population of 287,757. As of June 2023, Zhenhai District has five streets and two towns under its jurisdiction, and the district people's government is No. 57, Jinhua South Road, Camel Street.
Zhenhai has a long history, under the Hengshan Mountain in Xiaogang and the foothills of the Snake Mountain in Shaxi, both of which have been found to have the remains of human habitation in the Neolithic Age. At the end of the Spring and Autumn Period, after the establishment of the Yue State, its land began to belong to. Tang Yuanhe four years (809 years), built the town of Wanghai, Zhenhai for the beginning of the establishment of the rule. 1963 January, restored the Zhenhai County system. 1985 July, incorporated into the city of Ningbo, in October of the same year, the withdrawal of the county to build Zhenhai District. There are A-level scenic spots in Zhenhai: Zhaobao Mountain Tourist Scenic Spot, Jiulong Lake Tourist Resort, Zheng's Seventeen Rooms Scenic Spot and Ningbo Gang Museum.
In 2023, Zhenhai District realized a gross domestic product (GDP) of 142 billion yuan, an increase of 6.7% over the previous year at comparable prices.
