Kas Town, belonging to Changning County, Baoshan City, Yunnan Province, is located in the southwestern part of Changning County, the combination of Changning, Shidian and Longyang counties and districts, bordering Jifei Town in the east, connecting with Mulao Yuan Brown Yi Township, Shidian County in the south, adjoining Xiyi Township, Longyang District in the west, and bordering Kejie Township in the north, with an administrative area of 244 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, the household population of Kas Town was 40,238.
During the Qing Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of Yongchang Prefecture; in 1988, it was called Cass Township; in 2002, the township was abolished and called Cass Town. As of June 2020, Kas Town has 11 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town's people's government is located in Kas Village.
