Qilin District is subordinate to Qujing City, Yunnan Province, and is the seat of the government of Qujing City. It is located in the eastern part of Yunnan Province, in the middle of the East Yunnan Plateau, in the upper reaches of the Nanpanjiang River, between longitude 103°29′-104°14′E and latitude 25°07′-26°06′N. It has a total area of 1,552,83 square kilometers.
