Linxiang District, belonging to Lincang City, Yunnan Province, is located in southwestern Yunnan Province, Lancang River and the Nujiang River on the watershed of the two major water systems, east of the border with Jinggu County, south of the border with Jindong County, Zhenyuan County, west of the border with Gengma County, north of the border with the Yunxian County, 2 under the jurisdiction of the two streets, one town, seven townships. Linxiang is known as the "Hometown of Chinese Elephant's Foot Drum Culture" and the "Hometown of Chinese Bowl Kiln Pottery Culture", and it is the first germanium metal mining area in Asia, with 13.9 million tons of germanium coal reserves, accounting for one-sixth of the world's reserves and one-fourth of the country's reserves. With an average annual temperature of 17.3℃, no severe cold in winter and no heat in summer, the city has been rated as "China's Top Ten Green Cities" and "China's Top Ten Summer and Cold Tourism Cities", and it is the permanent venue of Asia Microfilm Art Festival. 2020, September, it was awarded the "Provincial Progress in National Unity" of Yunnan Province.
